Accessibility statement
EXTOD wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their age, ability or device. This statement explains how accessible it is and how to tell us about problems.
You should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate the whole site using just a keyboard
- use the site with a screen reader, including the charts and illustrations, which have text descriptions
- use the site on a phone or tablet as well as a computer
- read text that has enough contrast against its background
We write in plain English and avoid medical jargon where we can. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We know some parts of the site do not fully meet this yet:
- Some older documents you can download, such as slides from past conference talks, are PDFs that may not work well with screen readers.
- Some photos and illustrations contain text, such as banners from partner organisations. Where the text matters, we repeat it on the page.
- We have not yet had the site independently tested, so there may be problems we have not found.
If you find something on this site hard to use, or you need information in a different format such as large print or an accessible PDF, email enquiries@extod.org or message us on Instagram at @extod_ed. Tell us the page you were on and what went wrong, and we will get back to you.
If you are not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
